The house
My grandmother, (in Maltese: Nanna), grew up and raised a family right next door. The townhouse is over 100 years old and just underwent extensive restoration and conversion to integrate modern comforts. The wooden beams in the ceiling, together with the traditional wooden balcony, are original features of the property. We made sure to keep the beautiful architectural features like the ceiling rosette and the archway in the entrance hall, and the stonework on the first floor doorway.
The ground floor of this traditional Maltese townhouse is where we live with our cat, allowing us to be close by but out of your way.
Facilities
Each of our rooms is equipped for your total comfort, which means that you can make tea and coffee, and prepare your own meals. The space of each studio apartment is compact and well-thought-out, providing you with everything you need, whether you are on holiday, travelling for business, or just staying a short while. Our rooms have been prepared for you with comfort as a priority. Our beds are equipped with orthopaedic mattresses, and rooms are air-conditioned. Laundry facilities are available for a small fee.
Dinner plates, cutlery, and cooking equipment comes standard in each room – you can comfortably prepare and eat a meal in your studio apartment. Each room is also fitted with a television with a good selection of local and foreign channels. Guests will find comfortable beds freshly made with clean linen and warm covers in the winter months. Each studio has its own private shower and toilet with clean towels. We know how important wifi is, so we provide fast wifi in every room.
If there is anything you need which is not included in your room, you can ask us and we’ll be sure to sort it out.
Please note: our building is an old one with no lift. Each studio apartment is accessed via the main staircase, either on the first or second floor.
